ABSTRACT

Estimate of physico-chemical parameters of subsurface water were carried out in a radius of 3 km from the MRK sugar factory area of sethiathope. Water samples were collected from different location ofremote villages and characteristics for several water quality parameters like pH, turbidity, odour, colour, total dissolved solid ,electrical conductivity, calcium, magnesium, total hardness, sodium, potassium, iron, fluoride, nitrate, chloride and sulphate. The examination represents that subsurface water near the MRK sugar factory region are not fit for human consumption with regard to many parameters.
